Jean-Marc Munerelle explores the uncertain space between the body and its images, where the artist's gesture and the camera's eye question the real.
Trained at the Royal College of Art and Le Fresnoy, he maintains a plural practice—spanning photography, drawing, video, and interactivity—to reject the comfort of specialization. Through these mediums, he questions how technology and environments shape our bodies, presence, and perception.
Rather than providing answers, his works subvert the protocols of the visible. They reveal what our habits ignore: the quiet violence of interfaces, the latent memory of objects, and the fragility of the body facing modern systems.
His work has been exhibited at numerous institutions and festivals, including Lille 2004, File.org (São Paulo), Marseille-Provence 2013, and CNAC Beaubourg. He lives and works in Paris.
